Old Boardinghouse
This house was part of the sawmill complex that was built in the late 1880s for the Richard Hardesty family, but closed by the turn of the century as Montgomery's importance in the county waned with the rise of Wills and Conroe. The boarding house was used by employees who worked for the family's sawmill and timber firm. This property has only had three owners since it was built, and it encompassed about 100 acres until the 1970s. The slideshow below shows a variety of photos from renovations undertaken since the 1970s.
